Nabil Bank Launches Eco-Friendly ‘Digo Bachat Khata’ to Support Carbon Reduction and Sustainability

Nabil Bank has launched the Nabil Digo Bachat Khata, a savings account designed to support sustainable development and reduce carbon emissions in Nepal.

Aligned with the nation’s goal of net-zero emissions by 2045, the bank will contribute an extra 0.5% annually from total deposits in this account toward environmental initiatives such as reforestation, renewable energy, and clean water projects.

Customers maintaining a balance of Rs. 50,000 will have a tree planted in their name, and the account offers various perks, including free digital banking, debit/credit cards for the first year, and discounts on locker fees.
