A Boeing aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) that was taken to Malaysia for repair around two months ago will be repatriated home tomorrow (Tuesday) after successful maintenance, said NAC officials.

The NAC's Boeing 757 aircraft 'Gandaki' was brought to Kuala Lumpur for repair following a problem in its thermal blanket. A crew left for Malaysia on Sunday to bring the aeroplane back, said NAC's assistant spokesperson Nawaraj Koirala. Meanwhile, the NAC is preparing to sell the aircraft. The NAC has already sent necessary documents to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation after setting its selling price.

The valuation of the aircraft is USD 76 million, said director for the NAC Rabindra Shrestha. The NAC officials however claimed that the wide-body aircraft scam has affected the sale process.
