National Assembly Passes Three Bills, Sends Them Back to House of Representatives
The National Assembly (NA) has approved and forwarded three crucial bills back to the House of Representatives (HoR) following detailed clause-wise discussions.
Among the bills debated were the 'Financial Bill 2081', 'Bill to Raise National Debt, 2081', and 'Debt and Securities Bill, 2081'. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel tabled the proposals seeking endorsement, which received unanimous support from the upper House after thorough deliberations.
NA Chair Narayan Prasad Dahal confirmed that all three bills have been returned to the HoR for further consideration. During the session, Chair Dahal also addressed various administrative matters, including the certification of bills and the functioning of the council of ministers. The National Assembly is scheduled to reconvene for its next session on July 19, 1:15 pm (local time).
