NC Lawmaker Sanjaya Kumar Gautam Calls for National Consensus Government and Governance Reforms
Nepali Congress lawmaker Sanjaya Kumar Gautam has emphasized the need for reforms in the current governance system and advocated for the formation of a national consensus government.
Speaking during the 'special time' in a House of Representatives meeting today, Gautam urged all political parties to transcend partisan interests and prioritize the national interest. He called for constitutional amendments to facilitate the establishment of a national consensus government, aiming to bring significant changes to the governance system.
Additionally, Gautam highlighted the urgent need for measures to mitigate the risks of floods and landslides. Through the Speaker, he drew the government's attention to the declining water levels in the Karnali River and the rising incidences of human-wildlife conflict, expressing deep concern over these environmental and safety issues.
