NCC and UNDP Jointly Monitor Reconstruction Efforts in Kavre’s Flood-Affected Areas
A joint monitoring team from the Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) assessed the reconstruction and livelihood support efforts in flood and landslide-affected areas of Panauti Municipality and Roshi Rural Municipality in Kavre.
The initiative, based on an agreement signed in Poush, has focused on cash-for-work programs, irrigation canals, community roads, drainage construction, and farmland rehabilitation. The efforts have also generated local employment. NCC and UNDP officials expressed satisfaction with the progress and reaffirmed their commitment to continued support in disaster recovery and climate resilience.
