Nepal Bank appoints Krishna Bahadur Adhikari as the CEO; Adhikari takes the chair with 15 years' experience in Nepal Bank

Nepal Bank (NBL) has appointed Krishna Bahadur Adhikari as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of tenure of four years. Mr. Adhikari, prior to this appointment, was the Deputy CEO of the bank and had been performing the role of Acting CEO for the past 6 months after the retirement of ex-CEO Devendra Pratap Shah.

A total of 13 candidates were vying for the position, out of which the Board of the bank selected Mr. Adhikari.

Mr. Adhikari's banking career had started from Nepal bank itself when he took the position of Assistant Manager (6th level) in 2061. Academically, he has an MBA degree from Tribhuvan University and an EMBA degree from Purbanchal University.
