Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Israel Agree to Collaborate on Investment in IT, Agriculture, and Tourism

The Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) and Israel have agreed to collaborate on investments in IT, agriculture, tourism, and hospitality as Israel stabilizes post-ceasefire.

NCC President Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal and Ambassador Shmulik Arie Bass formalized the understanding, emphasizing continued cooperation and expanded investment opportunities in Nepal.

Agrawal urged Israel to transfer expertise in agriculture and IT while continuing employment programs for Nepali workers. He also encouraged Israeli investment in Nepal’s hydropower, tourism, and hotel industries, highlighting Nepal’s improving investment climate.

Ambassador Bass affirmed Israel’s commitment to hiring Nepali workers in various sectors, noting a minimum wage of USD 1,600. He also pledged to facilitate business interactions to strengthen economic ties between the two nations.
