Nepal Chamber of Commerce Forms Infrastructure and Land Reform Committee
The Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) has established its Infrastructure and Land Reform Committee under the leadership of Mr. Roshan Bhoyadyo. The committee comprises experts from infrastructure, housing, land development, and construction-related industries.
Senior Vice President of NCC, Mr. Deepak Kumar Malhotra, serves as Senior Advisor, with Mr. Tanka Bahadur Shrestha, Mr. Gokul Burlakoti, and Mr. Uttam Prasad Jha as advisors.
In its first meeting, the committee welcomed the amended Urban Development Policy 2081 and urged the government to expedite regulations, ensure stakeholder involvement, and address challenges in infrastructure and land reform sectors. Key recommendations included removing landholding limits for housing companies, improving payment systems, and promoting private sector participation.
The committee outlined plans to advise the government, organize policy discussions, and study international practices to boost Nepal’s infrastructure and land development efforts.
