The Nepal Chamber of Commerce has urged Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal to amend a proposed bill that extends the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority's jurisdiction to include the private sector.

The Chamber, led by President Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal, expressed concern that the bill could deter private sector investment and harm the economy.

They also highlighted issues such as restrictions on loans for shareholders and urged policy stability for economic growth.

Chief Secretary Aryal acknowledged these concerns and committed to cooperating with the private sector, including efforts to address market pricing and black market issues during festivals.
