Nepal Financial Institution Employees Union Marks 35th Anniversary, Urges Labor Rights and Sectoral Reforms
On the occasion of its 35th anniversary, the Nepal Financial Institution Employees Union organized a rally in Kathmandu, attended by former Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat as the chief guest. The event, presided over by Union President Padmaraj Regmi, also saw participation from lawmakers and trade union leaders.
The union emphasized respect for labor, protection of employees in the financial sector, implementation of labor laws, and demanded tax reforms, political non-interference, representation in policy-making, and ratification of ILO Convention No. 87 to ensure a fair industrial environment.
