Nepal Life Insurance Collected Highest Premium of Rs. 32.36 Arba Till Jestha; What is the Status of Other Life Insurance Companies?

In their quest to increase premium collection, life insurance companies are engaged in fierce competition with one another. Over the course of the first eleven months of the fiscal year 2079/80, these companies successfully collected a staggering amount of Rs. 1.24 Kharba in premiums. This significant sum was generated from a total of 1.4 crore active insurance policies held by policyholders. The intense rivalry among the insurers highlights their determination to attract and retain customers, thereby solidifying their position in the competitive life insurance sector.

According to a report published by the Nepal Insurance Authority, Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited has the highest number of active policies with 1,066,935, followed by Life Insurance Corporation Limited with 683,104 policies. Rastriya Beema Sanstha has the lowest number of active insurance policies with 558,304 policies.

When it comes to total insurance charges, Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited also leads the pack with charges amounting to Rs. 32.36 Arba. Life Insurance Corporation Limited follows closely with charges of Rs. 15.48 Arba and National Life Insurance Company Limited with Rs. 14.07 Arba.
