Nepal Life Insurance Leads Premium Collections Till Poush in FY 80/81: A Look at Other Life Insurance Companies
According to a recent report from the Nepal Insurance Authority, there's a significant mismatch between the number of insured customers and the premiums collected by life insurance companies in the month of Poush during the fiscal year 2080/81.
In this period, the combined premiums collected by various life insurance companies totaled Rs. 74.22 Arba, covering 13,741,355 active insurance policies.
Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited stood out by securing an impressive premium of Rs. 20.02 Arba, supported by 1,235,616 active insurance policies.
On the other hand, Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company reported a more modest premium of Rs. 1.78 Arba, despite maintaining a respectable count of 893,930 active insurance policies.
A notable finding is from Reliable Nepal Life Insurance Co Ltd, which boasts the highest number of active insurance policies—3,220,436. However, the company generated only Rs. 1.93 Arba in premiums during the assessed period, indicating a significant gap between the customer base and premium collection.
