Nepal Oil Corporation Announces Reduction in Petroleum Prices

In a recent decision by the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), the prices of petroleum products have been significantly reduced. The Board of Directors convened on Thursday and agreed to lower the prices, which will take effect from the following day.

Under the new pricing structure, the cost of petrol has been reduced by Rs 5 per litre. The revised prices are now set at Rs 162 per litre for the first category, Rs 164 for the second category, and Rs 165 for the third category. Diesel and kerosene have also seen a decrease of Rs 3 per litre. The adjusted prices for diesel and kerosene are Rs 152 per litre for the first category, Rs 158 for the second category, and Rs 155 for the third category.

The categorization of areas affects the pricing as follows: Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj fall under the first category. Surkhet and Dang are classified under the second category, while Dipayal, Pokhara, and Kathmandu are included in the third category.
