Nepal Rastra Bank Commences Global Money Week 2025 with a Rally
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has commenced the celebration of Global Money Week 2025 from today, i.e. Chaitra 04, which will continue until Chaitra 10. This global initiative, organized annually since 2012 in collaboration with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), aims to enhance financial literacy by developing financial knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors among children and youth.
Marking the 13th edition of Global Money Week, NRB organized a rally today from Bhadrakali to Bhrikuti Mandap, with active participation from representatives of various brokerage firms. The event underscores the commitment of financial institutions to promoting financial awareness and education.
Throughout the week, NRB will conduct various programs and activities focused on empowering young individuals with essential financial knowledge, reinforcing the significance of financial literacy in economic development.
Objectives and Key Activities
Global Money Week focuses on financial education, empowerment, inclusion, and awareness, ensuring young individuals develop essential money management skills. The campaign features workshops, interactive learning sessions, partnerships, and social media initiatives to engage participants effectively.
Since its launch, the initiative has reached millions of youth across 175+ countries, encouraging schools, financial institutions, and policymakers to promote financial education. Nepal Rastra Bank, alongside other stakeholders, will conduct various programs throughout the week, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening financial literacy and inclusion.
