Nepal SBI Bank gets Merchant Banking license; operating services from today

Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has granted an operational license to Nepal SBI Bank Limited’s subsidiary company Nepal SBI Merchant Banking Limited on Mangsir 24, 2073.
Nepal SBI Merchant is the downstream subsidiary of Nepal SBI Bank with 100 percent shareholding.
Nepal SBI Merchant Banking will carry out Issue Management, Underwriting, Registrar to Share (RTS) and Portfolio Management services from now onwards. It will start working as share registrar to its parent company, Nepal SBI Bank from today itself.
Nepal SBI Bank will soon be issuing 67,767.87 units Further Public Offering (FPO) shares at Rs 971. It is issuing FPO as per directive issued by the central bank to maintain at least 30% stake of public shareholders in its share structure.
