Nepal's Gold Market Hits All-Time Highs in Spectacular Surge
The gold market in Nepal reached a new milestone with a notable surgeon September 6, 2024.
As per the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of fine gold has risen to Rs. 1,53,300 per tola, marking a sharp increase from the previous day's Rs. 1,52,000 per tola.
Tejabi gold has similarly climbed, now priced at Rs. 1,52,600 per tola, up by Rs. 1,300 from yesterday’s Rs. 1,51,300 per tola.
This follows a previous high in fine gold prices, which touched Rs. 1,53,000 per tola on August 21, 2024, underscoring the market's volatility.
Silver prices have also increased, rising by Rs. 30 per tola to Rs. 1,795, compared to Rs. 1,765 per tola yesterday.
While domestic market trends display an upward trajectory, global economic conditions continue to influence prices. Internationally, gold is trading at $2,518.50 per ounce, with silver at $28.81 per ounce.
