NEPSE Announces Vacancy for Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Position; Invites Applications from Qualified Candidates

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has invited applications for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) through an open competition. The selection process will be conducted by a recommendation committee, which has issued a public notice seeking applications from qualified candidates in accordance with Rule 16(a) of the Securities Exchange Market Operation Regulations, 2064.

Eligible candidates must hold at least a postgraduate degree or an equivalent qualification in Economics, Commerce, Finance, Management, Information Technology, Law, or Chartered Accountancy. Additionally, applicants must have a minimum of 15 years of professional experience, including at least 7 years in a senior managerial position within the capital market, financial sector, or management field.

Applicants are required to submit their applications along with two passport-sized photographs and four copies of a professional work plan. An application fee of Rs. 7,500 must be deposited at the Singha Durbar branch of Rastriya Banijya Bank, and the original deposit voucher must be attached to the application.

The CEO’s remuneration, allowances, and other benefits will be determined by NEPSE with the approval of the Government of Nepal.

To facilitate the appointment process, the Ministry of Finance has formed a three-member recommendation committee chaired by Joint Secretary Sebantak Pokharel. The committee also includes Joint Secretary Amrit Lamsal and expert member Dr.Khom Raj Kharel.

Following the completion of former CEO Krishna Bahadur Karki’s tenure on Magh 25, NEPSE has remained without a CEO.
