NEPSE Bears the Brunt: 30.56 Points Drop Following Yesterday's Monetary Policy Unveil

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a loss of 30.56 points, or 1.45%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 2,070.59 points. The previous trading day saw a gain of 15.33 points for the index.

Today the market started with the index opening at 2,101.56 hitting an intraday low of 2,064.84, and reaching an intraday high of 2,101.55.

During today's trading, there were 305 different stocks traded in 82,899 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 12,165,202 with a total turnover of Rs. 4.66 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 32.54 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.16 Kharba.

 

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led in turnover, totaling Rs. 32.50 crores, and concluded the day with a market price of Rs. 672.

 

Similarly, Three companies hit the positive circuit for today.

 

On the flip side, Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) experienced the highest loss of 9.70%.

 

In terms of sector indices, all the sectors closed in red today. The "Development Bank Index" saw the highest loss of 2.40%, while the "Trading Index" saw the least loss of 0.52%.
