NEPSE begins the week on losing note falling to 1162.43 points; one company hits the positive circuit

The market today was in the red zone for the whole day and closed after losing 0.43% or 4.99 points. The benchmark index fell to 1162.43 points on the first day of the week. The turnover amount stood at Rs.42.24 Crore achieve through trade of 1,554,890 units of shares traded through 6,450 transactions trading scrips of 181 listed companies in the process.
Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) posted the highest turnover at Rs.4.84 Crore with LTP of Rs.937 per share. Promoter Shares of Nepal Investment Bank (NIBPO) stood ahead in terms of turnover with trade of 98,387 units of shares. The LTP of the scrip stood at Rs.405 per share.
Salt Trading Corporation (STC) hit the positive circuit as it gained 9.98% or 175 points and closed at Rs.1929 per share. Progressive Finance Limited (PROFL) was today’s top loser as it lost 6.66% or 7 points and closed at Rs.98 per share.
Sensitive Index lost 0.98 points and closed at 253.39 points while Float Index lost 0.52 points and closed at 86.01 points.
Trading, Finance, Others ad Life Insurance were among gaining sub-indices while rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points.
