NEPSE below 1400 points; Market loses 6.02 points with sharp decline in turnover

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has decreased by 6.02 points or 0.43% to close at 1,394.03points.
NEPSE had opened at 1400.05 points and it started losing points from the start of the day. At the end of the day, the index ended losing 6.02 points or 0.43%.
The total turnover of the day was Rs 24.20 crore where more than 7 lakh units of shares were exchanged through 2,927 transactions.
Sanima Mai Hydropower Ltd (SHPC) stood ahead in terms of total turnover for the day with its total transactions exceeding over 1.64 crore. Lumbini Bikas Bank Limited Promoter Share (LBBLPO) was ahead in terms of shares traded as 50,000 shares were traded during the day.
Sindhu Bikas Bank Limited (SINDU) made the highest profit today as their value increased by 4.58% to Rs 160. Likewise, Karnali Development Bank Limited (KRBL) was the top loser as its value decreased by 12 points or 4.6154% and its LTP was Rs 124.
Both the Sensitive and Float index decreased by1.17 points and 0.47 points respectively.
The indices of all the trading groups showed a downward movement and landed in red today. Insurance sector decreased by 30.18 points which was followed by Hydropower losing 22.54 points.
