Several other applicants, including Yuvraj Dahal, Prabin Adhikari, Bimal Kumar Tiwari, Krishna Bahadur Karki, and Mukunda Raj Joshi, did not make it to the shortlist. The selected candidates will now proceed to the next phase, which involves a presentation of their business plans and an interview. This evaluation is scheduled to take place on Chaitra 6 (Wednesday) at 7 AM at the Ministry of Finance.

Following the presentations and interviews, the committee will recommend one candidate for the CEO position. Based on the committee’s recommendation, the final decision on the appointment will be made by the Council of Ministers.

The Ministry of Finance had formed a three-member recommendation committee on Falgun 11, led by Sebantak Pokharel, Head of the Financial Sector Management and Institution Division. The committee also includes Joint Secretary Amrit Lamsal and Dr. Khom Raj Kharel as members. This open competition for the CEO position aims to ensure a transparent and competitive selection process, with the final appointment set to shape the future leadership of Nepal’s stock exchange.
