NEPSE Climbs 17.80 Points to Close at 2,775.85 Levels; Five Scrips Soar to Upper Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) saw an increase of 17.80 points (0.64%) today, closing at 2,775.85. This follows a gain of 19.97 points in the previous session.
The market opened at 2,772.74 and fluctuated throughout the trading day, hitting an intraday low of 2,751.31 and a high of 2,793.03. Trading remained active, with a total turnover of Rs. 8.52 Arba, involving the exchange of 18,160,634 shares from 307 companies in 88,775 transactions.
Ngadi Group Power Ltd. (NGPL) emerged as the leader in turnover, recording trades worth Rs. 26.74 crores, and closed at Rs. 314 per share.
Notably, five stocks hit the upper limit of a 10% gain during the day.
On the downside, Upper Syange Hydropower Limited (USHL) experienced the sharpest decline, dropping by 9.51%.
Sectoral performance was mixed, with the Trading Index recording the highest gain of 5.96%, while the Hotels and Tourism Index registered the steepest loss, down by 1.71%.
