NEPSE Climbs 45.88 Points Led by Strong Banking Sector Gains; Overall Volume Stood at Rs. 5.05 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) surged by 45.88 points (1.71%) today, closing at 2,715.71, following a decline of 6.32 points in the previous session.

The market opened at 2,671.36 and saw fluctuations, reaching an intraday high of 2,715.71 and a low of 2,662.72. The total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 5.05 Arba, with 56,350 transactions involving 11,386,854 shares across 308 companies.

Janaki Finance Company Limited (JFL) led the turnover chart with Rs. 36.15 crores in trades, closing at Rs. 956.80 per share.

On the gainers' side, Nyadi Hydropower Limited (NYADI) posted the highest growth, rising by 9.97%.

Conversely, Khanikhola Hydropower Co. Ltd. (KKHC) saw a significant drop of 9.99%.

Among the indices, the Banking Index recorded the highest gain, climbing by 3.43%, while the Mutual Fund Index suffered the biggest loss, falling by 0.34%.
