NEPSE Closes with a Loss of 14.08 Points; Development Bank Sector Leads Decline

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double-digit loss of 14.08 points (0.51%) to close at 2,715.91, following a minimal 2.41-point surge in the previous session.

Opening at 2,733.58, NEPSE fluctuated throughout the day, reaching a high of 2,745.15 and a low of 2,707.37. The total turnover stood at Rs. 8.91 Arba, with 16,917,835 shares traded across 315 companies in 90,202 transactions.

NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) led in turnover, recording transactions worth Rs. 30.87 crores. Its stock closed at Rs. 1,349.80.

Joshi Hydropower Development Company Ltd (JOSHI) saw the highest gain of 9.98%.

Meanwhile, four scrips saw the steepest decline, dropping 10% each.

Among sectoral indices, the Others Index registered the highest gain, rising 0.43%, while the Development Bank Index saw the biggest drop, declining by 2.60%.
