NEPSE Closes with a Loss of 15.08 Points; Finance Sector Index Leads Decline

In today's session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) lost 15.08 points (0.57%) to close at 2,631.98. This follows a 14.53-point loss in the previous session.

The index opened at 2,648.99, reaching an intraday high of 2,666.54 and a low of 2,630.30. The total turnover stood at Rs. 7.57 Arba, with 18,491,941 shares exchanged across 311 companies through 66,265 transactions.

Sanima Mai Hydropower Ltd. (SHPC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 82.43 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 368.

Two companies led the gainers' list, hitting the upper circuit limit.

Meanwhile, Madhya Bhotekoshi Jalavidyut Company Limited (MBJC) recorded the steepest drop, falling 9.98%.

Among sectors, the Finance Index posted the highest decline of 1.22%, whereas the Mutual Fund Index saw the highest gain of 0.07%.
