NEPSE Closes with a Loss of 30.36 Points; Manufacturing and Processing Bank Sector Leads Decline

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) experienced a loss today, falling by 30.36 points (1.05%) to close at 2,846.30. This follows a previous session loss of 13.62 points.

The trading session commenced at 2,877.22, with the index oscillating between a high of 2,894.62 and a low of 2,842.78. The day's total turnover reached Rs. 12.94 Arba, encompassing 26,389,910 shares traded across 318 companies through 122,336 transactions.

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 1.09 Arba, with its stock closing at Rs. 1,124.10.

Guardian Micro Life Insurance Limited (GMLI) emerged as the top gainer with a 10% increase.

Conversely, Sindhu Bikash Bank Ltd (SINDU) faced the steepest decline, dropping by 10%.

Sector-wise, the Manufacturing and Processing Index registered the highest loss of 2.21%, while the Others Index experienced the least decline of 0.06%.
