NEPSE Closes with a Loss of 7.33 Points; Finance Sector Leads Decline

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a single-digit loss in today's session, decreasing by 7.33 points (0.28%) to close at 2,588.62. This follows a single-digit gain of 1.83 points in the previous session.
Starting the day at 2,598.66, NEPSE experienced fluctuations throughout the session, reaching an intraday high of 2,616.97 and a low of 2,580.40. A total turnover of Rs. 5.93 Arba was recorded, with 70,634 transactions involving 11,749,701 shares of 296 listed companies.
Sindhu Bikash Bank Ltd (SINDU) led the turnover chart, recording Rs. 28.57 crores worth of trades and closing at Rs. 1,042.10 per share.
Similarly, Four companies topped the gainers' list, achieving a 10% increase in share price.
In contrast, Pokhara Finance Ltd. (PFL) recorded the steepest decline of the day, falling by 10%.
The Trading Index recorded the highest increase among the sectoral indices, rising by 2.03%. Meanwhile, the Finance Index faced the largest decline, dropping by 5.19%.
