NEPSE Closes with a Loss of 9.96 Points; Investment Sector Index Leads Decline

In today's session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) lost 9.96 points (0.36%) to close at 2,688.32. This follows a 7.75-point loss in the previous session.

The index opened at 2,695.15, reaching an intraday high of 2,707.86 and a low of 2,682.80. The total turnover stood at Rs. 8.32 Arba, with 22,555,713 shares exchanged across 319 companies through 71,694 transactions. The market's total capitalization was Rs. 44.70 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.86 Kharba.

Ngadi Group Power Ltd. (NGPL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 44.60 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 326.

Two companies led the gainers' list, hitting the upper circuit limit.

Meanwhile, Corporate Development Bank Limited (CORBL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 10%.

Among sectors, the Others Index posted the highest gain of 2.21%, whereas the Investment Index saw the highest decline of 1.87%.
