NEPSE Closes with a Sharp Loss of 46.33 Points; Others Sector Leads Decline

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) experienced a loss today, falling by 46.33 points (1.64%) to close at 2,772.10. This follows a previous session loss of 2.70 points.

The trading session commenced at 2,819.88, with the index oscillating between a high of 2,819.92 and a low of 2,766.08. The day's total turnover reached Rs. 10.09 Arba, encompassing 22,726,283 shares traded across 315 companies through 112,347 transactions.

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 1.12 Arba, with its stock closing at Rs. 1,046.

Three scrips emerged as the top gainer with a 10% increase each.

Conversely, two companies faced the steepest decline, dropping by 10% each.

Sector-wise, the Others Index registered the highest loss of 2.69%, while the Trading Index experienced the least loss of 0.81%.
