NEPSE Concludes First Trading Day of the Week With 1.39% Gain: Records Highest Turnover Of Current FY

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a gain of 27.75 points, or 1.39%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 2,022.35 points. The previous trading day saw a gain of 6.55 points for the index.
Today the market started with the index opening at 1986.06, hitting an intraday low of 1,951.02, and reaching an intraday high of 2,022.82.
During today's trading, there were 295 different stocks traded in 101,128 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 17,166,465 with a total turnover of Rs. 5.15 Arba, which is the highest turnover NEPSE recorded in past five and half months. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 31.19 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.84 Kharba.
Himal Dolakha Hydropower Company Limited (HDHPC) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 25.12 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 146.
Similarly, Eleven companies hit the positive circuit for today.
On the flip side, Himalayan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (HLBSL) experienced the highest loss of 6.77% today.
In terms of sector indices, three sectors closed in red. The "HydroPower Index" saw the highest gain of 5.55%, while the "Banking SubIndex" saw a loss of 0.67%.
