Part 1: Rundown and Technical Analysis

The NEPSE Index closed at 2,051.92  after losing 16.39 points (0.79%). The index closed at 2,068.31 last week losing 2.08% from the previous week.

This week, the index went as high as 2,079.19 and as low as 2,047.02 hence witnessing volatility of 32.17 points. The index had seen volatility of 52.04 points in the previous week.

The highest intraday loss was 11.61 points on Wednesday with a turnover of Rs 4.05 Arba, however, the total turnover stood at Rs 21.41 Arba this week.

 

Momentum Indicators

The RSI reading on the daily timeframe is 44.02. Meanwhile, the RSI reading on the weekly chart is 51.45.

Conversely, the MACD and Signal lines are in the positive zone i.e., above zero with the MACD reading at 2.46.

Nepse Index is below the 20-day Exponential Moving Average and the 5-day Exponential Moving Average. The Index below the moving average indicates earlier bearish sentiment.

2,020 -2,075 zone may act as the nearest support whereas, the 2,200 zone will act as resistance.
