NEPSE Concludes The Week With 1.31% Gain and Turnover of Rs 19.47 Arba; Weekly Summary with Sector Comparison, Major Highlights, and More

The market traded for Four days this week as Wednesday was a public holiday.

The NEPSE Index closed at 2,630.71 after gaining 33.89 points (1.31%). The index closed at 2,596.82 last week losing 3.19% from the previous week.

This week, the index went as high as 2,645.20 and as low as 2,569 hence witnessing volatility of 76.2 points. The index had seen volatility of 91.14 points in the previous week.

The highest intraday gain was 28.91 points on Monday with a turnover of Rs 4.43 Arba, however, the total turnover stood at Rs 19.47 Arba this week.

 

Momentum Indicators

The RSI reading on the daily timeframe is 43.65. Meanwhile, the RSI reading on the weekly chart is 53.07.

Conversely, the MACD and Signal lines are in the negative zone i.e., below zero with the MACD reading at -24.41.

Nepse Index is below both the 20-day Exponential Moving Average and the 5-day Exponential Moving Average. The Index below the moving average indicates earlier bearish sentiment.

2,460 level may act as the nearest support whereas, the 2,775 zone will act as resistance.
