Part 1: Rundown and Technical Analysis

The NEPSE Index closed at 2,654.35 after gaining 65.73 points (2.54%). The index closed at 2,588.62 last week losing 1.76% from the previous week.

This week, the index went as high as 2,681.49 and as low as 2,580.40 hence witnessing volatility of 101.09 points. The index had seen volatility of 74.42 points in the previous week.

The highest intraday gain was 52.37 points on Wednesday with a turnover of Rs 9.20 Arba, however, the total turnover stood at Rs 36.09 Arba this week.

 

Momentum Indicators

The RSI reading on the daily timeframe is 55.13. Meanwhile, the RSI reading on the weekly chart is 54.06.

Conversely, the MACD and Signal lines are in the negative zone i.e., below zero with the MACD reading at -5.90.

Nepse Index is above both the 20-day Exponential Moving Average and the 5-day Exponential Moving Average. The Index above the moving average indicates earlier bullish sentiment.

2,575 level may act as the nearest support whereas, the 2,765 zone will act as resistance.
