Part 1: Rundown and Technical Analysis

The NEPSE index closed at 1,874.60 after losing 82.32 points (4.21%). The index closed at 1,956.92 last week with a loss of 2.36% from the previous week.

This week, the index went as high as 1,963.80 and as low as 1,870.26 hence witnessing volatility of 93.54 points. The index had seen volatility of 47.66 points in the previous week.

The highest intraday loss was 35.68 points on Sunday with a turnover of Rs 1.80 Arba, however, the total turnover stood at Rs 7.04 Arba this week.

 

 

Momentum Indicators

The RSI reading on the daily timeframe is 31.59. Meanwhile, the RSI reading on the weekly chart is 40.16.

On the other side, the MACD line and Signal line both are in the negative zone, i.e. below zero but the signal line has crossed the MACD line and the MACD line is below the signal line in the daily timeframe with the MACD reading at -30.20.

Nepse Index is below its 5-day Moving Average and 20-day Moving Average. This is an earlier signal of the possibility of a bearish signal but requires further confirmation.

1,837 – 1,874 zone may act as the nearest support whereas, the 1,925 – 1,945 zone will act as resistance.

The highest intraday loss was 35.68 points on Sunday with a turnover of Rs 1.8 Arba, whereas the total turnover of the week stood at Rs. 7.04 Arba.
