NEPSE Concludes Week With 0.48% Loss and Turnover of Rs 45.39 Arba; Weekly Summary with Sector Comparison, Major Highlights, and More

Part 1: Rundown and Technical Analysis

The NEPSE Index closed at 2,734.93 after losing 13.12 points (0.48%). The index closed at 2,748.05 last week gaining 2.52% from the previous week.

This week, the index went as high as 2,774.14 and as low as 2,707.94 hence witnessing volatility of 66.2 points. The index had seen volatility of 112.93 points in the previous week.

The highest intraday loss was 24.98 points on Wednesday with a turnover of Rs 9.13 Arba, however, the total turnover stood at Rs 45.39 Arba this week.

 

Momentum Indicators

The RSI reading on the daily timeframe is 53.30. Meanwhile, the RSI reading on the weekly chart is 59.38.

Conversely, the MACD and Signal lines are in the positive zone i.e., above zero with the MACD reading at 19.44.

Nepse Index is above both the 20-day Exponential Moving Average and the 5-day Exponential Moving Average. The Index above the moving average indicates earlier bullish sentiment.

2,600 level may act as the nearest support whereas, the 2,860 zone will act as resistance.
