NEPSE Concludes Week With 0.81% Loss and Turnover of Rs 59.77 Arba; Weekly Summary with Sector Comparison, Major Highlights, and More

Part 1: Rundown and Technical Analysis

The NEPSE Index closed at 2,727.36 after losing 22.21 points (0.81%). The index closed at 2,749.57 last week losing 7.56% from the previous week.

This week, the index went as high as 2,860.43 and as low as 2,678.91 hence witnessing volatility of 181.52 points. The index had seen volatility of 262.47 points in the previous week.

The highest intraday fall was 90.70 points on Wednesday with a turnover of Rs  12.92 Arba, however, the total turnover stood at Rs 59.77 Arba this week.

 

Momentum Indicators

The RSI reading on the daily timeframe is 49.10. Meanwhile, the RSI reading on the weekly chart is 66.62

Conversely, the MACD and Signal lines are in the positive zone i.e., above zero with the MACD reading at 50.42.

Nepse Index is below the 20-day Exponential Moving Average and the 5-day Exponential Moving Average. The Index below the moving average indicates earlier bearish sentiment.

2,650 level may act as the nearest support whereas, the 3,000 zone will act as resistance.
