NEPSE Concludes Week With 2.49% Loss and Turnover of Rs 37.54 Arba; Weekly Summary with Sector Comparison, Major Highlights, and More

The market traded for Four days this week as Monday was a public holiday.

The NEPSE Index closed at 2,680.44 after losing 68.34 points (2.49%). The index closed at 2,748.78 last week gaining 2.74% from the previous week.

This week, the index went as high as 2,788.12 and as low as 2,676.25 hence witnessing volatility of 111.87 points. The index had seen volatility of 107.65 points in the previous week.

The highest intraday loss was 51.11 points on Tuesday with a turnover of Rs 10.46 Arba, however, the total turnover stood at Rs 37.54 Arba this week.

 

Momentum Indicators

The RSI reading on the daily timeframe is 48.51. Meanwhile, the RSI reading on the weekly chart is 57.45.

Conversely, the MACD and Signal lines are in the positive zone i.e., above zero with the MACD reading at 17.46.

Nepse Index is below both the 20-day Exponential Moving Average and the 5-day Exponential Moving Average. The Index above the moving average indicates earlier bearish sentiment.

2,600 level may act as the nearest support whereas, the 2,860 zone will act as resistance.
