NEPSE Continues Gaining Momentum: Up 18.09 Points To Settle At 2,143.76 Levels; Intraday Turnover Highest In 11 Months

The NEPSE index closed at 2,143.93 today after gaining 18.09 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a gain of 0.85%. The index gained 64.87 points yesterday. The benchmark index closed at 5 months highest level. Last time on 4th August, 2021 the NEPSE was 2148.16 levels.
Today the index opened at 2,135.23 and made an intraday low of 2,114.01. It made an intraday high of 2,159.22 and closed at 2,143.93 levels.
259 scrips traded hands via 71,816 transactions. A total of 12,581,982 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 5.04 Arba in turnover amount. This is highest turnover since 13th Feb 2021, when the amount stood Rs 5.97 arba turnover.
Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 43.19 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 2,969.90 per share. The shares of HDHPC traded the most.
Five scrips gained all they could and hit a positive circuit for the day.
On the other side of things, Citizens Mutual Fund-2 (CMF2) lost the highest 3.03% today.
Eleven sector indices closed green, "Hotels and Tourism Index" gained the highest 5.75% while "Others" lost 0.87% today.
