NEPSE Declines By 0.68% After 6 Days of Consecutive Gain; SMHL Tops Turnover List While Overall Volume Reached Rs. 7.3 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a double-digit loss in today's session, declining by 18.14 points (0.68%) to close at 2,635.09. This follows a single-digit gain of 6.53 points in the previous session.

Starting the day at 2,656.5, NEPSE experienced fluctuations throughout the session, reaching an intraday high of 2,656.61 and a low of 2,629.06. A total turnover of Rs. 0.68% Arba was recorded, with 73,309 transactions involving 15,723,379 shares of 308 listed companies.

Today, Sharepro Securities (Broker No. 65) ascended to the top position, showcasing an impressive and commendable performance with a total amount of Rs. 1.18 Arba followed by Naasa Securities (Broker No. 58) with a total amount of Rs. 77.71 Crores.

Super Madi Hydropower Limited (SMHL) led the turnover chart, recording Rs. 44.88 crores worth of trades and closing at Rs. 1,492 per share.

Similarly, two companies topped the gainers' list, achieving a 10% increase in each share price.

In contrast, Saptakoshi Development Bank Ltd (SAPDBL) recorded the steepest decline of the day, falling by 9.23%.

Likewise, the Hotel and Tourism Index posted the highest gain, rising by 0.99%, while the Finance Index declined the most by 2.93%.
