NEPSE Declines by 25.46 Points While Overall Volume Stood at Rs. Rs. 10.12 Arba; Three Scrips Hit Positive Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index continued its downward trend, falling by 25.46 points or 0.93%, to close at 2,701.90 points. This decline follows a 12.10 point drop in the previous session.
The trading session began with the index at 2,732.83 points, reaching an intraday high of 2,760.45 points before dipping to a low of 2,697.84 points. By the end of the day, the NEPSE settled at 2,701.90 points.
Market activity remained robust, with 328 companies traded through 112,300 transactions. A total of 22,262,924 shares exchanged hands, generating a total turnover of Rs. 10.12 Arba. The overall market capitalization stood at Rs. 42.96 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.11 Kharba.
CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited (CHDC) led the day's turnover, recording a transaction value of Rs. 42.19 Crore, with shares closing at Rs. 1,963 per share.
In contrast, three scrips hit the upper circuit, achieving a 10% gain each.
On the other hand, Three Star Hydropower Limited (TSHL) witnessed the largest decline, plummeting by 10%.
Sector-wise, the Microfinance Index stood out, posting a 1.21% gain. Meanwhile, the Development Bank Index experienced the steepest drop, declining by 2.07%, indicating mixed sentiments across different sectors.
