NEPSE Dips by 27.39 Points After Two-Day Rally, Finance Sector Takes the Biggest Hit

The NEPSE Index fell by 27.39 points (1.01%) today, settling at 2,663.32, halting its two-day rally that added 93.22 points, including yesterday's gain of 37.13 points. Despite an initial rise, the market could not sustain momentum and closed in the red.
The market experienced fluctuations throughout the session, opening at 2,692.49 points and briefly rallying to an intraday high of 2,707.16 points before dipping to a low of 2,652.66 points.
By the close of trading, 300 scrips were traded through 45,870 transactions, resulting in a turnover of Rs. 4.59 Arba with 10,330,502 shares exchanged.
NLG Insurance Company Ltd. (NLG) led the turnover chart, trading shares worth Rs. 27.17 crore, closing at Rs. 1,302.
Mid Solu Hydropower Limited (MSHL) posted the highest gain of the day, rising by 10%.
Meanwhile Eastern Hydropower Limited (EHPL) recorded the largest loss, falling by 8.50%.
Sector-wise, the Finance Index saw a sharp decline of 2.76%, while the Banking Index experienced the least loss at 0.36%.
