NEPSE Dips Further 12.10 Points, Market Falls Over 100 Points in Two Days, Turnover Below 10 Arba for First Time in 32 Trading Days

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index witnessed a further decline, dropping by 12.10 points, or 0.44%, to settle at 2,727.36 points. This comes after a significant 90.73-point fall in the previous session, bringing the total loss to 102.83 points over the last two trading days.
The session opened with the index at 2,740.21 points, showing high volatility throughout. The index hit an intraday high of 2,758.92 points and a low of 2,686.62 points before closing at 2,727.36.
Market activity remained intense, with 316 stocks changing hands through 112,692 transactions. A total of 20,153,993 shares were traded, generating a turnover of Rs. 9.65 Arba, marking the first time in 32 trading days that turnover fell below 10 Arba. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 43.36 Kharba, while the float market capitalization reached Rs. 15.27 Kharba.
Nepal Finance Ltd. (NFS) led the market with the highest turnover of Rs. 40.5 Crore, closing at Rs. 1,503 per share.
Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ANLB) hit the upper circuit limit with a 10% gain.
Meanwhile, Nepal Finance Ltd. (NFS) saw the largest drop, falling by 8.91%.
Sector-wise, the Microfinance Index posted gains, up 1.68%, while the Investment Index sector saw the steepest decline, falling by 1.36%.
