NEPSE Down by 17.30 points To Close at 2,018.33 Levels: Turnover Stood At Rs 3.20 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a slight loss of 0.85%, or 17.30 points, settling at 2,018.33 points at the close of trading today, following a gain of 4.78 points in the previous session.
Opening at 2,034.71, the trading day witnessed fluctuations as the index reached an intraday high of 2,040.48 before dipping to an intraday low of 2,014.32.
With a bustling trading environment, 316 different stocks were exchanged in 67,044 transactions. The total volume of shares traded stood at 7,957,659, reflecting a total turnover of Rs. 3.20 Arba. The market capitalization closed at Rs. 32.00 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.79 Kharba.
Sarbottam Cement Limited (SARBTM) emerged as the highlight of the day with a turnover of Rs. 28.68 Crore, closing at a market price of Rs. 974.50.
Similarly, Maya Khola Hydropower Company Limited (MKHC) showed the highest gain of 10%, followed by Garima Debenture, 2085 (GBBD85) with a gain of 8.08%.
Conversely, Sarbottam Cement Limited (SARBTM) faced a decline, losing 9.99% to close at Rs. 974.50.
In terms of sector, Only one Sector Index concluded in positive territory, with the "Non-Life Insurance Index" leading with a gain of 0.12%. However, the "Manufacturing And Processing Index" witnessed a decline of 3.65%.
