NEPSE Down By 25.63 Points To Close at 2,130.18 Levels; Total Turnover Stood At Rs 7.67 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a loss of 25.63 points, or 1.18%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 2,130.18 points. The previous trading day saw a loss of 7.24 points for the index.

Today the market started with the index opening at 2,156.52 hitting an intraday low of 2,123.86, and reaching an intraday high of 2,165.67.

During today's trading, there were 308 different stocks traded in 166,983 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 22,820,279 with a total turnover of Rs. 7.67 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 33.45 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.54 Kharba.

 

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led in turnover, totaling Rs. 56.79 crore and concluded the day with a market price of Rs. 682.

 

Similarly, Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company Ltd (AKJCL) and Samaj Laghubittya Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SAMAJ) showed the highest gain of 9.97%, followed by Himalayan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (HLBSL) with a gain of 9.94%.

 

On the flip side, CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited (CHDC) experienced the highest loss of 8.27%.

 

In terms of sector indices, Two sectors closed in green today. The "Others Index" saw the highest gain of 1.38%, while the "Development Bank Index" saw a loss of 2.61%.
