NEPSE Edges Up by 2.27 Points, Turnover Slips to Rs. 3.40 Arba; NFS hits Positive Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index witnessed an incline of a minimal 2.27 points today, an increase of 0.10%, closing at 2,078.76 points. This follows a loss of 18.76 points in the previous trading session.

The trading day commenced with the index at 2,077.75 points, reaching an intraday high of 2,086.85 points. The index experienced a low of 2,073.34 points before settling at the closing value of 2,078.76 points.

Today's trading session involved 308 stocks across 48,706 transactions, with a total trading volume of 7,209,757 shares. The overall turnover reached Rs. 3.40 Arba.

Nepal Finance Ltd. (NFS) led the market in terms of turnover, achieving Rs. 20.23 Crores and closing at Rs. 724.20 per share.

Nepal Finance Ltd. (NFS) hit the positive circuit, surging by 9.99%.

Conversely, Manakamana Smart Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MKLB) faced a significant loss, dropping by 9.88% each.

In sector performance, six sector indices concluded the day in positive territory. The "Finance Index" recorded the highest sectoral gain of 2.62%, while the "Trading Index" saw the highest loss, declining by 1.32%.
