NEPSE Edges Up to 2,586.23 with Rs. 4.6 Arba Turnover; PMLIP Tops Turnover Chart

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) continued its upward trajectory today with a slight increase of 4.63 points (0.17%), closing at 2,586.23. This marks a continuation of positive momentum following a 5.10-point rise in the previous trading session.

The market opened at 2,583.94 and experienced fluctuations throughout the day, with an intraday high of 2,586.23 and a low of 2,566.27. A total turnover of Rs. 4.6 Arba was recorded, generated from 50,447 transactions involving 10,086,705 shares of 315 listed companies.

Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance Limited promotor (PMLIP) led the turnover chart with Rs. 21.82 crores worth of trades, closing at Rs. 1,048.5 per share.

On the gainers' side, Nyadi Hydropower Limited (NYADI) outperformed others, achieving a 10% surge in its share price.

On the other hand, Support Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (SMB) saw the steepest decline, falling by 5.02%.

Sectoral indices showed mixed results. The Trading Index recorded the largest drop, plummeting by 2.03%, while the Development Bank Index posted a gain of 2.40%.
