NEPSE Edges Up to 2,736.48 with Rs. 8.23 Arba Turnover; MBLPO Tops Turnover Chart

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) experienced a gain today, inching up by 17.28 points (1.17%) to close at 2,736.48. This follows a previous session loss of 32.21 points.

The trading session commenced at 2,718.13, with the index oscillating between a high of 2,745.58 and a low of 2,717.29. The day's total turnover reached Rs. 8.23 Arba, encompassing 22,941,365 shares traded across 323 companies through 79,236 transactions.

Machhapuchhre Bank Limited Promotor Share (MBLPO) led the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 81.36 Crores, with its stock closing at Rs. 100.

Peoples Hydropower Company Limited (PHCL) emerged as the top gainer with a 9.79% increase.

Conversely, Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (WNLB) faced the steepest decline, dropping by 10%.

Among sectoral indices, the Investment Index registered the highest gain, rising 1.76%, while the Development Bank Index saw the biggest drop, declining by 0.33%.
