NEPSE Ends in Red, Dropping 1.15% with Nepal Finance Leading Turnover; Two Scrips Hit Positive Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) posted a sharp loss of 31.31 points (1.15%) today, closing at 2,680.44. This follows a modest gain of 9.09 points in the previous session.

The market opened at 2,711.56 and exhibited volatility throughout the day, with an intraday low of 2,676.25 and a high of 2,722.59. A total turnover of Rs. 8.25 Arba was recorded from 18,474,024 shares traded across 314 companies in 84,858 transactions.

Nepal Finance Ltd. (NFS) led trading activity with a turnover of Rs. 25.24 crores, closing at Rs. 1,479.

Notably, TSHL and SLBSL hit the upper circuit, gaining a maximum of 10% each.

On the downside, Janaki Finance Company Limited (JFL) suffered a 10% loss, marking the day's steepest decline.

Sector-wise, the "Finance Index" led the loss, falling 2.86%, while the "Mutual Fund Index" saw a minimal dip of 0.19%.
