NEPSE Ends Today's Session with 50.73-Point Drop While Overall Volume Stood at Rs. 10.34 Arba

The NEPSE Index dropped by 50.73 points, or 1.88%, to close at 2,637.79, reversing the previous session's gain of 78.17 points.
The trading day began with the index at 2,698.52 points, peaked at 2,734.58 points, and fell to a low of 2,630.11 points before ending the session at 2,637.79 points.
The market saw activity from 324 companies across 119,739 transactions, with a total turnover of Rs. 10.34 Arba and 24,846,782 shares traded. The overall market capitalization stood at Rs. 41.94 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 14.72 Kharba.
CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited (CHDC) led the turnover with Rs. 64.38 crore, its shares closing at Rs. 2,035.
On the positive side, four companies achieved a 10% gain each.
Conversely, Three Star Hydropower Limited (TSHL) experienced the largest decline, falling by 10%.
Sector-wise, the Hotel and Tourism Index suffered the biggest drop at 3.68%, while the Mutual Fund Index had the smallest decline at 0.61%.
