NEPSE Extends Downward Spiral with 13.09-Point Drop; Overall Volume Falls to Rs. 7.24 Arba

The NEPSE Index extended its losing streak, dropping by 13.09 points (0.49%) to close at 2,632.94. This follows a previous session's 55.86-point fall.

The trading session started with the index at 2,648.07 points, reaching an intraday high of 2,688.26 points before dipping to a low of 2,616.98 points. By the end of the day, the NEPSE settled at 2,632.94 points.

Trading activity remained with 328 companies traded across 93,459 transactions, involving 19,077,583 shares. The total turnover for the day was Rs. 7.24 Arba.

Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited Promoter (HIDCLP) led the day's turnover with a transaction value of Rs. 29.81 Crore, closing at Rs. 177 per share.

On the upside, Manushi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MLBS) posted the largest gain, rising 10%.

Meanwhile Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme 3 (SIGS3) experienced the steepest decline, plummeting 8.82%.

Among sectors, the Finance Index saw the largest decline, falling by 0.99%, whereas the Trading Index recorded a gain of 0.79%.
